Jed P. Dallek

Jed P. Dallek, CPA, MST, is a Partner and member of the Real Estate Group at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. He also manages Gettry Marcus’s Green Energy Solutions.

Jed is considered a trusted advisor to real estate owners, developers, and operators across various industries, providing them with a unique perspective on tax issues that may impact their businesses. Mr. Dallek has extensive experience in the structuring of transactions, including the acquisition and disposition of real estate, as well as debt restructuring, workouts of troubled real estate companies, and tax-free 1031 exchanges of real estate. 

As a seasoned author, Jed has written many articles about tax issues and how changes in tax legislation may affect a company’s situation. Jed has also written numerous articles in New York Real Estate Journal and Real Estate Weekly with regard to how clients can obtain tax benefits (credits and deductions) for solar installations and companies looking to reduce their energy footprint. He is often quoted in National and local publications and called upon to speak at industry functions and seminars and has participated in numerous panel discussions. Jed attributes a portion of his diverse experience to his tenure with national public accounting firms like Main Hurdman and American Express Tax & Business Services. He was also a founding member of the American Express Blue Box Council, which was created to identify business opportunities in the private and public sectors. In addition, he was a member of the American Express Tax & Business Services National Real Estate Steering Committee, as well as former chair of a National Association of Accounting Firm Real Estate Steering Committee.

Jed is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves on the Partnership Committee, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Real Estate Board of New York, and the Association for a Better Long Island. He earned his BS in accounting from Syracuse University and an MS in taxation from Pace University.
