Robert Thee
Robert Thee, CPA, MS, is a Tax Director at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. Robert works extensively in consulting and compliance for closely-held businesses and their owners. He has serviced clients involved in a broad range of industries that includes wholesale, manufacturing, retail, health care, real estate, and financial service companies, as well as high net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts.
Robert spends a great deal of time consulting with Gettry Marcus partners and clients to analyze proposed transactions and business structures to arrive at strategies aimed at maximizing federal and state income and estate tax savings, without sacrificing the clients’ best economic interests.
He also represents taxpayers before the IRS and state/local tax authorities and has also worked closely with Gettry Marcus’s Litigation Support Group, consulting with their clients in many tax-related cases.
A member of the AICPA and New York State Society of CPAs, Robert has lectured frequently for the Foundation for Accounting Education and written articles for The CPA Journal. He has been actively involved on several of the State Society’s tax committees and currently serves on the Partnerships and LLC’s Committee. In addition, he has been heavily involved in administering, creating, and presenting various tax training and continuing education programs for several CPA firms.
Robert holds a BBA in Accounting and an MS in Taxation from Baruch College.
