Russell T. Glazer

Russell T. Glazer, CPA/ABV, MCBA, ABAR, ASA, CVA, MBA, is a Partner with Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. and is a member of the firm’s Business Valuation & Litigation Services Group. The group, one of the largest in the New York metropolitan area, has multiple credentialed business valuation professionals and a team of forensic accountants. 

Mr. Glazer’s business valuation engagements are in the areas of estate and gift valuation; lost profits; commercial damages; shareholder dispute resolution; mergers and acquisitions; and marital dissolution. He has been called upon to serve in New York State Supreme Court as a qualified expert witness because of his knowledge and expertise in performing business valuations.

Mr. Glazer is a national instructor for the American Society of Appraisers and has also lectured for the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA) and the National Association of Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), speaking on a variety of business valuation topics, and is a multiple recipient of IBA’s Instructor of Great Distinction Award and NACVA’s Instructor of Exceptional Distinction Award. He has also authored over a dozen articles that have appeared in peer-reviewed business valuation publications and is a contributing author for business valuation courses. In addition, he was a member of the AICPA’s Business Valuation for Estate and Gift Tax Purposes Practice Aid Task Force. Mr. Glazer has developed and delivered a number of presentations to CPA societies and business valuation professionals across the country. He served on the Quality Review Committee of the Institute of Business Appraisers, and on the Editorial Board of the quarterly publication of the IBA, Business Appraisal Practice. He received the Jeffrey R. Salins Report Writing Award from NACVA, in 2012 and 2016, in acknowledgment of his superior work in preparing a business valuation report. In addition, he was named one of NACVA’s Outstanding Members (Second Quarter 2013). He also serves as a member of the Business Valuation Education Sub-Committee of the American Society of Appraisers and on its Board of Examiners. 

Mr. Glazer graduated from Hofstra University with a Master of Business Administration in Management. He keeps abreast of changing developments through his active membership in several organizations, including the American Society of Appraisers, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County.
