Stuart G. Kertzner
Stuart Kertzner, CPA/ABV, CVA is a partner in the firm’s Health Care Group. Mr. Kertzner is a highly regarded consultant to the health care industry. He provides consulting, accounting and tax services to free-standing and hospital-based group practices, faculty practice plans, ambulatory surgery centers, as well as entrepreneurial physician/hospital joint ventures. He has served clients with specialty practices as diverse as Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine and Radiology. Mr. Kertzner specializes in group practice formations and mergers and acquisitions, and has prepared valuations for medical practices and fair market opinions for hospitals. He has extensive experience in structuring financing including negotiating with financial institutions. He also consults on issues such as revenue enhancement, practice assessment and systems reviews.
Mr. Kertzner belongs to several healthcare associations including the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Health Lawyers Association, and the Medical Group Management Association. He is a charter member of the National CPA Health Care Advisors Association. In addition, Gettry Marcus was a founding member of this group.
A graduate of Pace University, Mr. Kertzner is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he is a past member of the Cooperation with Bankers & Other Credit Grantors Committee; Advancement for Commerce, Industry and Technology and the Turnaround Management Association.
