Shekhar Basnet, CPA, is a Senior Manager in the Camps Group at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. With over 10 years of experience in public accounting Shekhar manages tax and accounting work for clients in a variety of industries including camp, real estate, and professional services and guides his team of professionals to ensure that client engagements are successfully completed.
Shekhar specializes in providing tax and accounting services to our Camp Clients, and has experience working with mergers and acquisitions within the Camp industry. He understands that the accounting industry and the role of public accountants is moving towards consulting, and works to bring value to the businesses of each of his clients.
Shekhar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Tax from Oakland City University and a Master of Science in Accounting from Queens College. He has achieved his Certified Public Accounting designation. Shekhar also volunteers his time to an organization that provides health and community services to deprived regions of the world.
